No this isn’t a new diet. I’ve been wanting to try assorted types of bugs for a while now. The first one was a male Rhinoceros Beetle, and the second one was a decent sized forest scorpion. Neither tasted very good. I think they WOULD taste better if they were fresh and seasoned like they are in Asian street markets which is usually fried in oil with a coating of sugar or even chicken base. These bugs were “cooked” and then dehydrated which killed most of the flavor and texture. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

I still have one GIANT water scorpion to eat then well call it good on the bugs for a while…
